The ‘Roanoke Transcript’ is a fragment of a journal which told of the initial colonization of Roanoke, Virginia, which was written by an unknown colonist. The actual identity and several of the latter pages are obscured due to fire.
The transcript describes the activities of a Mr. John Wright, and how, during some ceremonial practice, a group of natives interrupted and stole a silver cup. The narrative insists that the natives are minions of ‘the Adversary’.
The writing is obscured just before it speaks of what exactly happened to the 116 colonists that dwelled within the Lost Colony.
